Taking place in the near future, an astronaut stationed on Mars discovers she is pregnant, dying in childbirth. Her son, Gardner Elliot, is raised a Martian, but eventually makes an earthly connection online with a girl from Colorado named Tulsa. When Gardner finally makes the trip to earth at age 16, he learns his organs cannot survive earth’s atmosphere. Now Gardner and Tulsa must see as much of the earth as they can before it’s too late.
