USA Today reports on the top ten games of the summer, with the Last of Us, Minecraft and FIFA 14 (no doubt bouyed by World Cup soccer action) coming in at first, second and third respectively. Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8 round out the top 5. Even better news for the gaming industry is that console sales remain strong. For the seventh month in a row, Sony's Playstation 4 was the best selling game console in the U.S., with over 10 million in global sales as of July 2014. Sales for all video game consoles were up for the summer, promising a healthy holiday sales season for video games.
